Few people know, but at one time, in the vastness of the great and terrible television, which now makes your ears curl up and your eyes want to be beaten with a mixer, there was the “First Game TV Channel”.
I was 17 years old then. I was young, hot, had long hair and there was a lot of wind in my head. While browsing the World Wide Web, I came across a list of vacancies for a TV channel. "Trainee in the PR department". What else do you need for happiness?? Calling me on the phone, they answered me in a pleasant female voice and invited me for an interview. Having barely slept through the night, I went to Moscow’s Strogino station, where they were waiting for me at 11 o’clock. Since then, the behind-the-scenes world of Gaming and the TV Channel has opened up to me.
Having met the main staff, I can highlight several people. They are all shown in the picture below.
Let’s start with Dick. He’s an editor from God. Almost all the most important programs were glued and edited by him. Without any questions asked, he sorted through tons of game clocks and made candy out of them.
Lisa. Lisa was the first beauty who https://casinogriffon.uk/games/ was given to all the visiting guests to be torn to pieces. Very sweet and good girl.
Yura aka Fury. This is the central presenter. Almost all the programs were hosted by him, and he also voiced my first program (More on that later).
Chechulin. Legend. A good man who neglected hygiene, but he was a great gamer and wrote excellent game reviews.
We figured out the main characters. Now let’s get to the point. The TV channel hierarchy is insanely simple. The main ones there are the Editor and the Director. Complete moral monsters to be honest. Having such resources, they drove the channel into a complete abyss and sold it by turning it into a Rap and Hip Hop channel. It was a long and smooth affair. But I’ll also tell you in detail a little later.
The people themselves were amazing. I made good friends. Photo attached.
Yes. I was the one who was so hairy) And I brought the helmet to work, which was handed to me on Igromir. In the end everything was fine. I then helped the PR department communicate with Chechulin, because the girls didn’t really like him, whoever knows will understand why. He also came up with various competitions. Well, I translated trailers for new games. There were also funny moments, for example, when strange personalities came to host a new program) Or when an important guest arrived with large gifts or presentations. There are still autographs scattered in the box. But then something terrible happened. Suddenly, in the middle of the working day, the Director comes to the office and brings a beautiful girl of about 30 years old. She tells everyone that she is a super-duper marketing specialist and finally listen to her, otherwise everyone will be fired. It was a sign. Sensing something was wrong, everyone began to escape from the sinking ship. At first, not the most important people left, then more eminent people began to leave. Although the new Boss was not ugly and had a gorgeous figure, she did not turn out to be a super marketer. Giving stupid advice, she ruined many programs. By the time I left, only a few of the original cast remained on the channel. in their place came people who were not in the know, who had not heard about the games… And gradually the TV channel began to change direction. For some time they played the same programs, recordings and advertisements, and then they closed it and began broadcasting a new one based on it. But still, I found that time when everything was fine there. I can say with confidence that the live broadcasts were not so live) the delay of 3 minutes was for insurance, that some programs were aired without editing, competitions were organized so that the whole office would receive a lot of freebies, and when the Miss Gamer competition was held, I saw enough of beautiful girls. I even tried to run my programs. My first one, The X-Files, was almost ready, but it just didn’t work out, and in the mail there’s still a letter from the creator of Mind Freeman. I’ll clarify here. I proposed to launch a Machinima program on the TV channel and asked to send out proposals for cooperation to major authors. Letter from Ross Scott under spoiler. Although he refused, some others agreed.
MEGALKAREN Ignatiev
Good day.
This is the first TV channel about games in Russia (1GTV). We would like to make a television program based on machinima. We plan to make Freeman’s Mind and Civil Protection the main content of our new television program.
Please, allow us to show your projects on our TV channel in Russian translation.
Many thanks in advance.
Well I have a contract with Machinima.com now and I’m afraid I can’t
give permission to have the videos distributed elsewhere where there’s
a profit being made. I don’t really have a problem with it personally
however if you want to show the videos, so it’s sort of at your own
risk if they discover it. For what it’s worth, I plan to get up
translations of the videos in Russian up sometime soon, I’ve had
volunteers offer to help with that.
But due to the fact that our beautiful, but not very smart, new boss said that it was not interesting for the audience, the idea was closed at an early stage. Spitting on everything, I left the channel even after stealing a couple of fennecs from the warehouse.
All those who remember this channel, guys. the workers there were good, but the directors were terrible. Thanks Stop Game. The last stronghold of Gaming and all its manifestations.
